A Gnome Colony has been established at the Morrell Nature Sanctuary on the Nanaimo Lakes Road . Look for the Yew Loop Trail which is wheel chair accessible to view the gnome homes (if you can find them). See map above.
Also check out the new sightings of a Gnome Colony have been seen at Neck Point Park in Nanaimo. It seems that some of the Gome families living in the deep, deep forest at Cathedral Grove near Port Alberni have decided to move further East to be closer to the ocean and become involved in the fishing industry to help provide a bigger variety of ocean and shell fish to other inland Gnome colonies.
Also the Gnomes in Neck point Park have established a “Magic Door” theme of Give a Little, Take a Little, to help folks be more aware of their presence and assist in their well being in the park.
